I wouldn't say that they do (ofcourse, each to their own) but a single dad carries a certain stereotype. People tend to think of them as irresponsible. Yes, if you get a girl up the duff, then run it is irresponsible.
But if you still play a role in the childs life it shows effort on your part. Nothing wrong with that. You can still have an amicable arrangement with your ex. It is nothing to do with the child whether you and her are together, so there is no point being bitchy in that situation.

Maybe they're put off not getting 100% from you. I devote my life to my son (who lives with me and has done for the last 2yrs) and I tend to 'shout it from the rooftops' in a manner of speaking. From a 'dating/girlfriend' perspective it's done me no favours I can tell you.lol The right person will be understanding and empathic so I guess it's a case of waiting for the right one.

I presume the question is directed at womens' INITIAL response to meeting a single dad?
From my own perspective I really don't need or want to add the complications of another guys 'baggage' to my life. I want my own kids one day, but without the inevitable future conflicts!

An honest answer from a genuine person and who's to blame you. And why do we have 2 current threads asking the same question (Why do women run a mile.......)
