I have had friends who've suffered ****. One case I dealt with and in the other the local police here operated a very effective zero tolerance system with great victim support.

From my limited knowledge it seems to stem from a personality disorder of one kind or another.

My friend's husband was a drunk who couldn't stop drinking while there was drink in the house & who became **** when it ran out.

We all have our quirks but some people very cleverly seem to cover up a drastic personality disorder which unfortunately leaves other people suffering from **** physical and mental abuse.

You know my mother was a horrible nasty women and my sister i got knocked everywhere and when i got away from that i met a women got married and she started with her nonsense bloody hitting me and no matter i can`t hit a women and it seems for that reason women go mad it`s like they feed off the fact you wont hit back or something so i decided to get a dog and that put an end to her sillyness she hit me a few times then one day in the kitchen she kicked off as usuall hit me and the dog ripped her **** out so from that day till i really had to get away from her the dog kept her at bay but you know i went to police about her and they just laugh at you and they wont take it seriously so i looked into it and i`ll tell you for every 60 men that hit the women 30 women are hitting the men i mean she was 5ft i`m over 6ft and 17stone so you think your gonna be safe but they say poisen comes in small bottles

Yes, unfortunately pal, there are **** women. 

There is generally no sympathy for a man who has been battered by his woman.

Initially my response is to sammie but having read other comments I feel the need to re-inforce Davidcarters experience.

Having attended numerous incidents involving domestic **** the majority of cases have been male oreintated, however, I have also been called to a considerable number of situations where it has been the male partner having been assaulted by the female partner.

Sadly this happens in both sexes.

In saying that I say to the men who hit women, take a good look at yourself in the mirror, do you like what you see?

Probably not as I would like to think you feel guilty after the event.

Get yourself some help it is out there for you ie...anger management etc, and to the ladies well easy for me to say but...report it to the police DVU. And don't put up with it you are not on your own.

An aquaintance of mine recently had a similar experience. Because the woman was small the Police took her side. He was bleeding on his face and arms but was arrested. While he was in the cell, she cleared his flat out of his possessions including a large sum of money from his business (waiting to be banked) He had no history of **** towards anyone. But neither the Police or his solicitor would do anything about the theft of his possessions.

I'm surprised local fuzz did nothing. In my experience the locals here are strong on zero tolerance of any domestic ****.

You have obviously had an experience or experiences where you have been mistreated. This is sad and very cowardly of the men involved. It is not true that all men are ****, but what you are or have experienced I think is that the men you find attractive have this trait that for some reason they become **** at some later stage of your reletonship. I think unless or until you change how you see OTHER different men you will continue to experience PATTERN behavioiur in your relationships. There is never a reason for a man to strike out at a woman under any circumstances. Its braver and more courageous to walk away from an argument than to strike a lady. (Thats me thou)
