My favorite TV show is “Mr. Bean"  a child-like, socially inept, clumsy guy who tries hard and means well, but by such often finds himself is difficult situations.  Mr. Bean's greatest talent is his imagination.  He has a way of solving the problem, whatever it may be, in the most outlandish ingenious manner.  He is a man of few words, but his face tells can communicate everything necessary.

And I like "The Good Life" . This is about a couple living in suburban area of Surbiton Tom goes to work everyday as a draftsman and his wife Barbara stays at home. Bored with this existence Tom decides he has had enough of the rat race and he wants to go self-sufficient. He believes he can grow whatever they need to live from their garden in the middle of Surbiton a middleclass area in the heart of the commuter belt for London. Their next door neighbours are Jerry and Margo, Jerry worked with Tom at the same company and is under the thumb as far as Margo is concerned, his only rebellion is when she goes out at night to eat his curry in the living room. Margo always wants the best and image is everything with her, she is appalled at tom and Barbara's idea to get out of the rat race and work for themselves.
This comedy goes through the various times the highs and lows of **** to live without work and live off the land from their garden, **** allotment and farm, Complete with animals Pigs, Chickens, Goats.  Crops failing and being ruined by rain and pests, lack of money to pay bills. Although it does not sound a good plot, you will be amazed at how funny it is. Some classic bits are drinking Tom's Home made wine,  Animals escaping, margo forcing them to part with the baby pigs then relenting when she finds out they are going to die. Try watching it you will come to love it, it's a Classic British Comedy.

And how about "Black Books". This fantastic TV series is based in a London bookshop where the owner Bernard Black plays merry hell with his sidekick, the long-suffering Manny and his long term friend Fran.
Bernard is a drunken, chain-smoking, strangely loveable Irishman who abuses his customers and Manny constantly.  Bernard regards the selling of books as an odious interruption to his life, whilst Manny spends his time trying to improve the shop and the woeful lack of customer service, with various **** ideas.
A wonderful, escape from reality, must-watch, comedy series!

black books, sigh r.i.p.  the i.t. crowd is starting to get really funny though and serves as a fine black books substitute.

The Haunting of Bill Crouse eppisode is so good.

24. Greatest television series EVER.

Jack Bauer is the man. A true Hero! Someone whose willing to risk EVERYTHING for the greater good. Such an interesting character.

Close 2nd Family Guy. PURE GENIUS!

How stupid you are. At 37 Id've thought you'd learnt to use language that would be acceptable in front of your own children. Whoops sorry I forgot, your phallus is only 1 CM (less than 1/2 inch) so there's no chance of you having children, and it must also be a helluva letdown when there's not even enough to get hold of. poor you.

I suppose that it's because you like playing children's games, do you still play "ring a ring a roses?" I get the impression that it or even Hopscotch would suit you. But perhaps you've got a little bigger now and play hide and seek, and cry when no-one finds you, Ah Shame.

I really enjoy Lost, trying to work out all of the goings on...on and off the Island

Its not a run of the mill programme, its really well thought out and clever the way they have incorporated religion, science, mythology, dysfunctional families, literature etc etc

I agree completely Lost is my favorite TV program at the moment its one of the few programs that no matte how many episodes you watch never reveals any significant answers to the mysteries in the story but manages to keep you wanting more every time and still hasn't got stale.

Have to agree with you there - black books and It Crowd is a quality show. Spaced is really good, too and Nathan Barley was a gem. If you like your comedy dark I would recommend Ideal with Johnny Vegas. Ive started watching psychoville but I havnt watched enough to comment. Still game is good. Wish they woul do another Black Adder! But not like the new red dwarf.

I have to agree, this was one of the classic 'gentle' British comedies, along with 'Dad's Army' and 'Last of the Summer Wine' but, having been an hotelier, I can't imagine a better comedy than 'Fawlty Towers'. I can identify with poor old Basil, except for his **** life - non-existent.

Are you sure it's not the BBC conducting an enquiry into the standard of acting in Westminster?

Well we need a change of Government alright. Where's Lord Sutch when you need him?
