You will have genuine correspondence.  It's just the old saying "If it looks to good to be true, it probably is".  I have written mails to many members who are as down to earth and real as anything.  Just no big sparks yet, (I quite fancy Mimmzy tho, but I ain't got enough fuel to drive to London at the mo.)

I just think admin could do something smarter about it.

I wouldn't presume that the mods or admins have anything to do with these strange eMails.

Today I got some mail from a straight black guy.  Didn't read it because I'm only a standard member at the moment.

Mebe he wanted advice?

Grrrrrr! Still, I am meeting a lass next week so atleast it will pay for the meal. Canny nervous like as I work with her and I dont like other people at work knowing as it could be akward. I dont expect anything than just friendship. But it would be nice to have some female contact (i.e general non-shop talk) since my break-up.

I know what you mean about the general correspondence. But over the last few weeks I have had shit loads of mails from people who have no picture and no profile. They all ask generally the same thing: Do yu want to chat? Now with no profile completed I can only conclude that they have been created on the sly and on the quick to sucker some folk in to pay for the subscription. One even asked if I want to marry her!!?? It was badly typed so that must have been a rush job. Other mails are from serial winkers (no comments) whose profile has been created soley on the task of randomly winking. Again, their profiles have not been completed. I can only conclude that the DTUK have done that to get people to join. There are no spam emails or links to other sites in the mails, so it must be DTUK? It is near the end of the financial year so maybe they need to balance their books...

I assure you that the site administration is aware of the problems you have mentioned in this thread. We realise that **** are a very serious problem and we are working to get rid of them. There is a 'Report profile' button on each profile. If you think that a member is a ****, please take your time, click the button, give reasons why you think the member is a **** and send us a report. These reports are monitored 24/7, and all the reported profiles are thoroughly checked, and banned if proved to be ****.
I have mentioned a number of times that DateTheUK doesn't use fake profiles, and I would appreciate that this subject wasn't raised again. If you have serious reasons/proves to think so, please send an email to admin@datetheuk.com, and you will get a detailed answer.
The reason why threads on ****/fake profiles are removed is their redundancy. The subject has been raised more than once, the site administration is aware of the problem and is trying to sort it out.
