As a general rule, this is what it means if a guy puts x's in his email:

1x - friendly. Doesn't fancy you
xx - would snog you
**** - would shag you
xxxx - wants to marry you (or already has!)

More than 4 x's - is really a girl!

Seems pretty fair as a rough guide, though I might take issue with "or already has".

By that stage most guys will have entered a comfort zone and stopped bothering with the x's.

Unless that's a secret code between you and Sarah, you're saying that you are not sure if you want to kiss her and you fancy her but you don't

Interesting...

I'm not a fan of sending x's in an email, certainly not initially anyway, I suppose if I really like the person I may stretch to a x...oh the fun of online dating eh?

Lol I know. I don't ever send xs to start off with. I took a vow that I would never go on another internet date, until I undid that the other day.

I emailed a girl (not on this site) the other day asking her out. Straight to the point. She said 'yes' but it's very early days, but I always get the impression when someone is genuine they actually are but at the same time I don't believe anything until it has actually physically happened...

Well piss it, she said yeah so 1 out of 1 lol
