I am serious. With poetry like that, why is he not taken?

Perhaps he's pig-ugly, no personality,no nothing. How can we tell unless he talks to us?

It's a bit like 'carry on' poetry

There's nothing in this world
That can express my love
You're as beautiful as an angel
And pure as a dove.

Around the world
I've searched and searched
Looking for the one.
Fighting loneliness, sadness,
And rejections
But I now declare that the war is won.

I've found the love,
The love of my life
And I think that one-day
You might be my wife.

We will have children

And full of laughter.

I think reciting poetry like this, in real life, might make you seem a little sappy
It's not what you say, but how you deliver it (what rappers refer to as 'the flow' ) that matters

Hey, countless guys have used others poetry to woo
and the girl will not complain
she's glad of some expression of romantic interest
But on a scale of 1 to 10 'Moving it on'
I think it rates as only a 2 or 3
she could quite easily put you in the Friends Zone - that guy that who reads me poetry
if real man steps in - you'll become that drippy guy who reads me poetry

If the girl likes poetry then obviously she'll like it more
but then again she probably wouldn't like these poems, in comparision to more established love poets/ poems
