I corresponded with a guy for over 3 weeks - first by email, then text messages and finally phone calls . Throughout the whole correspondence he never once called me by my first name !! I had been puzzled by this but never questioned him about it ...possibly because I had lost interest in him . Perhaps the good gentlemen here could give me their take on this ...do you call a lady by her first name when getting to know them ? Ladies ...have any of you encountered this ...would you see this as a problem or as odd ?

If someone has told me their first name I will always use it (until I know them well enough not to always need to).
I don't know about the ladies but I certainly find it very odd indeed.
The only explanation I can come up with, off the top of my head, is that you are not the only one he's been in contact with and he's been trying to make sure he doesn't inadvertently use the wrong name.
Still, if you've lost interest in him you could be well out of it, so why worry?
Good luck

Thank you al-terego. I think you have hit the nail on the head with your suggestion . It certainly didn't occur to me , just thought of it as strange or maybe he perceived it as some sort of intimacy. Anyway , I was curious as other views on the matter and not at all concerned about it .
