.. with the colder weather coming, if I wear a string vest and some goose-grease on my chest just in case I catch a cold? My nother always told me..
Would it put you off if you were on a date? This has got to be a hypothetical question....

Sorry to disagree with you DC.
I found that the wind really cuts through those holes in a string vest and in those circumstances goose grease is of little benefit.
I would recommend a sheepskin coat but, bearing in mind where you live, I suggest that you ensure the sheep has finished with it before trying to put it on.
Good luck this winter.

Thanks Al. You have also brought to mind the issue that I may have, up unill recently, had a less than healthy relationship with my sheepskin coat.

That's a cruel suggestion LL.
You know DC's very fond of his sheepskin coat. If, as you suggested earlier, the coat has fleas perhaps he could get a lap-dog..............
............................
tho' on reflection, bearing in mind his relationship with his coat, maybe that isn't such a great idea.............
Would the dog get jealous, do you think?

Most of the ladies I have met have suggested I wear a hat, though i find the whole experience like doing Swan Lake in wellington boots.
Of course the most common suggestion is a paper bag....
Send help!

How did I miss this?
Clearly the animal was not a lap-dog.
Are you sure they didn't fob you of with a mutated, furry, hedgehog? Hedgehogs, as we all know are not noted for keeping their fleas to themselves.
Returning to the topic:
I am in full agreement with shelly's remark re hard hats and safety gear, though I would not recommend boots as they wreak havoc on the sheets.

Thinking back....... it was very small so perhaps a squirrel. It did have very sharp claws lol!
Just wondering are you speaking from experience re :the boots in bed? I know some people like to dress up in a relationship but steel toecap boots does seem to take things a little too far.
# 16 2009-10-30 21:45:17
No, LL, the steel toecaps are fine and in fact take a morror-like polish.
Its the hob-nails that cause the damage
But if its fantasies you want I can do them for you wholesale, might even stretch to 10% below trade if you order a gross (and it has to be really gross!)

Hob nails A- aren't they from times gone by?
Do you have a secret stock of them for dressing up purposes lol.
I think I'll pass on the offer of fantasies as I have an active imagination and if needs be will provide my own free of charge.
But thanks for offering.
Perhaps you could sell your stock pile of hob nails on e bay?
# 18 2009-10-30 22:17:09
No, LL, I have just opened the National Hob-nail Museum and expect that by charging $1bn admission I shall soon be able to retire to my private island.
Bill Gates has already been enquiring about the opening hours. These are 10am til noon next Friday after which the museum will be closed and the exhibits distributed to the needy.
Has my philanthropy no bounds?

Hmmmm impressive,
so that's $1bn per admission then?
How many visitors are you expecting during the 2 hours?
